01 / Practise
Flashcards
Create flashcards from your study materials and practise by testing yourself.
Our vision
OCTO brings your study materials and tools together. You should be able to get started straight away, without first learning a complicated system.
Explore our plansThe idea behind OCTO
Your study materials.
Connected in one place.
01 / The first release
Our planned first version brings these four study tools into one workspace. A simple foundation to build on.
01 / Practise
Create flashcards from your study materials and practise by testing yourself.
02 / Annotate
Work directly in your course PDFs, within the same study workspace.
03 / Summarise
Turn course content into clear, organised summaries with a simple tool designed for students.
04 / Connect
Map the connections in your material. Hide information with occlusion to test what you remember.
These four tools define the MVP. The features below are planned for later.
02 / Beyond the first release
More ways to organise, practise and keep going. This is the direction we want to explore after the MVP, without fixed release dates.
03 / Our education ambitions
We want OCTO to become your regular study workspace. A place where you learn how to study effectively and put it into practice every day.
First / Students
Begin at universities and colleges. Build a workspace students choose for themselves because it makes studying easier.
Next / More learning paths
Extend to secondary education and other learning paths. More guidance and playful support where needed; more independence where it fits.
Long term / Institutions
Our goal is for education providers to cover the cost through licences and integrations, so students can use OCTO without paying themselves.
Our planned first version brings together flashcards, a PDF editor, a summary tool and mindmaps with occlusion, so you can hide information to test yourself. These four tools form the foundation of the OCTO study workspace.
Split screen, the exam planner, OCTO AI, community features and the other additions on this page are planned for after the first release. There are no fixed release dates yet. Join the waitlist to follow our progress.
We are starting with students at universities and colleges. Over time, we want to support secondary education and other learning paths, adapting the balance of guidance, playful support and independence to different learners.
Our long-term goal is for education providers to cover the cost through licences and integrations with their learning platforms, so students can use OCTO without paying themselves. This is an ambition still to develop; institution integrations such as Ufora are proposals.
